Blog Post: God Said A Day Is 1000 Years

God said a day is 1000 years. 2 Pe 3:8 ” But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. “

Jesus said “It is Finished”. He said “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” And in  Jhn 19:30  “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.“

That was almost exactly 6000 years ago.  We know “neither the day nor the hour”

Mat 25:13  “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

His return is certain “He will so return as ye have seen Him go into heaven”. 

Act 1:11  Which also said, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

The earth will finally rest

This is our blessed hope. The millennium will begin with Satan bound in the Bottomless pit.

Rev 20:2  “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years”

Rev 20:3  “And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
